Number four of the most venomous snakes in India is Russell’s Viper– a snake that when cornered, coils tightly in a ball, and strikes at such a fast speed that the victim rarely has time to escape. Once a person is bitten, there is a severe pain at the site, followed by extreme swelling and bleeding. The victim’s blood pressure and heart rate drop. This snake is light brown with dark brown or black splotches that have a white or yellow border around them; it’s head is a triangle shape with a raised, rounded snout.
